Bourevestnik's X-ray luminescence sorters “give New Year's gifts”

The equipment of the Bourevestnik Innovation Center for the diamond mining industry has proven itself in this industry, and original discoveries confirm this.
At the end of 2025, two unusually shaped diamonds were extracted at the Severalmaz enrichment plant (part of ALROSA) – real precious Christmas tree decorations.
The first diamond, weighing just over 17 carats, resembles a Christmas tree ball, while the second crystal, weighing 2.7 carats, resembles a cute puppy. Earlier in 2024, a diamond shaped like a real Christmas tree was mined at the M.V. Lomonosov deposit in Arkhangelsk, and now they continue to “decorate” it with priceless Christmas tree “toys.”
The “toys” were extracted using LS-OD-6L and LS-OD-50-03N series X-ray luminescence sorters from Bourevestnik JSC, designed for the final processing of diamond-bearing concentrates of various sizes.

The sorters work by using the property of diamonds to luminesce under the influence of X-ray radiation and the difference in these properties between diamonds and associated luminescent minerals.
