A unique gem-quality diamond weighing 98.8 carats was mined by ALROSA at the Zapolyarnaya pipe of the Verkhne-Munskoe deposit on February 17, 2019.
The gemstone has an octahedral shape with pronounced relief of facets. The diamond is transparent with a visible yellow tint, gem quality.
The diamond was extracted with the help of X-ray fluorescent separator for final finishing LS-OD-50-03N manufactured by IC Bourevestnik JSC. The separator allows processing diamond-containing concentrate with a grain size of -50... +5 mm with a throughput of up to 2.5 tons per hour and a recovery rate of 99%.
