Unique colored diamond was extracted at the Verkhne-Munskoe mine

The first gem-quality colored diamond weighing 17.44 carats was mined by ALROSA at the Zapolyarnaya pipe of the Verkhne-Munskoe mine in mid-February 2020.
The gemstone with dimensions of 18x20x9 mm has a transitional shape.
The diamond was extracted using an X-ray fluorescent sorter for final finishing LS-OD-50-03N manufactured by Bourevestnik, JSC. The sorter allows processing diamond-containing concentrate with a grain size of -50... +5 mm with a throughput of up to 2.5 tons per hour and a recovery rate of 99%.
